For composers
A potential-use detection is a lead for composer review
LicenseTrack identifies possible uses of a monitored work so a composer has a source and evidence to review. A detection is a lead, not a conclusion about what happened.
Check the source, evidence and permissions
Review the source and the available match details, then check the relevant recording or composition and any rights or permissions that may apply. Existing licences, publisher or label arrangements, co-writer interests and other clearances can affect who may decide what happens next.
The composer chooses what to do next
After reviewing the record, a composer may seek clarification, explore licensing, address attribution, take another appropriate action, or decide no further action is needed. The right choice depends on the source, evidence and rights involved. A detection does not automatically trigger enforcement or determine an outcome.
